Has anyone had this strange Ebay thing happen?

Okay I was looking to buy items from a seller and it was several items from one Ebay store and the seller said I would have to push the BUY on to get a list to consolidate and get a better shipping price. So I did something 'I never" do unless I have all the info. I hit the buy on for all the items {not bids} and got the list and there was no way to get the better shipping price listed. I found I could not afford the items with such a high ship cost so I tried to cancel. Since I had not gone to Paypal to complete the buy I figured this would be easy. Contact seller and ask for cancel. So I did. The next day the seller writes me back and says unless I pay by the 14th my Ebay buying privileges to buy on Ebay will be revoked. I only buy round 30.00USD worth of stuff on Ebay a month. I have only been a buyer on Ebay a year. What's up with that?
