Although S3 started with 'then' it did seem an abrupt transition. Also S2L4 maybe try to work in 'a' after has for flow. I know you are counting meter but that seemed awkward as I read. Sad that children have to face death but the lessons learned form the body of the child. Your words recreate the joy, trauma and resolve. A good read.
