Why would some parent help their bi polaric son find a wife when he can go nuts pretty much anytime?

So there is this vietnamese guy who I know from Reno, California and he is some 21 year old guy who is bipolaric and he can go pretty much anytime. Almost no vietnamese girl here in the united states likes him because of his bi polaric sessions so his mother asked his relatives in vietnam to find him a vietnamese wife. They're basically looking for a girl who wants to marry some vietnamese american guy from the united states so she can be over here in america with a vietnamese husband. This guy has absolutely no resposibility in life. He goes to college and works part time at Mcdonalds and he pretty much skips school and work anyday he wants to. He would come up with the excuse oh I am sick I need to go to the doctor and then get a doctor's note excusing the absences. He plays these games all the time. What kind of parent would help their son find a wife when he acts like this ?? They are Vietnamese people living in the united states and their son seems like the worst vietnamese child I have ever seen. I have never seen any vietnamese or asian kid in general slacking off like him. Asian parents usually pressure their children to do good in life and this guy just totally ignores his parents. Why does he act and have an attitude like this ?? I think if he keeps up with this attitude in life, He will get no where in life. He doesn't even wake up in the morning with argueing with his parents. I live next to them and this is what I see all the time.
