I have tried to find sites online that still give away Qur'ans, but they all seem to have disappeared. It might be possible to request one through a msoque. Do you have one nearby? There are some mosques that will give away free Qur'ans as part of their outreach to non-Muslims or prospective Muslims. Sometimes, an entire outreach ("Dawa") package is available. It would contain several books and pamphlets on various aspects of Islamic belief and practise.
