Why do some evangelicals consider Christians to be an endangered minority?
I recently, and reluctantly, accompanied a friend to a service at an evangelical church. The pastor started his sermon with a page from the Bible talking about how the majority does not have the right to impose its views on the minority. Even though I am not a believer this made sense to me. I let myself believe for a moment that church is not as bad as I thought. However the pastor then stated that Christians are the minority and that the majority liberal pro-gay lobby is trying to impose its view on them. This struck me a really strange as the majority in my state just voted last November to ban gay marriage. Why the persecution complex when they actually won at the last election?
